KERIS MECA Rhodium Detailed description

The KERIS MECA Rhodium translates the architecture of a mechanical watch movement into a functional sculpture measuring 220 mm in diameter. Its enlarged scale reveals the interaction between the barrel, gear train, escapement and regulating organ, allowing the mechanics of traditional watchmaking to be observed in motion. The rhodium-anthracite finish gives the sculpture a deep architectural presence, contrasted by dark-gold wheels.

Hand-assembled in Switzerland, the MECA Rhodium comprises 86 precision components. Its mechanism operates at a deliberately slow frequency of 0.5 Hz, making each mechanical interaction clearly visible, and delivers a 50-hour power reserve. Aluminium components feature sandblasted, brushed, bead-blasted and anodised finishes, combined with polished stainless steel elements. Each piece is supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
