The Le Petit Cactus Vanille diamond stud is a fine jewellery creation by Mellerio, inspired by a flower dear to Marie-Antoinette, the Maison’s first Royal client. Originating from Mexico and the West Indies, the vanilla cactus blooms for just one night each year, at the beginning of spring. This rare flowering was immortalised in the 18th century by botanical painter Pierre-Joseph Redouté, at the Queen’s request.
This story inspired the line dedicated to the 18th century, designed by Laure-Isabelle Mellerio. The central motif is built around the pistil, revealing a delicate flower in motion.
Crafted in 18k green gold and 18k pink gold, the stud is set with one diamond weighing 0.03 carat. The motif measures 0.6 × 0.6 cm and features an Alpa system, ensuring secure and comfortable wear.
The jewel is sold individually. To purchase a pair, two units must be selected. It is delivered in its box, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
